The comment made by Why Not Us vice president during the first inaugural Street Mayor Classic 3 on 3 Student Basketball Tournament summed up the Why Not Us movement. The ripple effect of that student tournament led to the birth of the Why Not Us Non For Profit Organization in 2016. Though the organization has grown over the years, the core idea of average people doing above average things for others remains. With a key focus on mentorship Why Not Us, or WNU, reinvests in community youth through arts and athletics.
